October 12, 2009 Review

(Hollywood, CA) OCTOBER 12, 2009 - As fans lined up outside the doors of the Marriott Burbank Convention Center, the crew of The Hollywood Show was already hard at work getting ready for a weekend of laughter and fun mixed with a little touch of the magic that tinseltown was built on, and they didn't disappoint. Celebrities by the dozens charmed their ways into the hearts of those who stopped to say hello, have a picture signed, or a photo taken with their favorites.

From the moment people walked in they were treated to a collectors dream. Memorabilia filled the lobby and spread onto the show's main floor. Posters featuring classics from yesteryear and yesterday lined the walls, and there, tucked behind four sets of double doors, they sat. Celebrities as far as the eye could see.

It was another fabulous weekend in Burbank, California, as The Hollywood Show ended its 2009 event roster with one of the biggest salutes to classic television imaginable. The 50th Anniversary celebration of "The Twilight Zone" was a huge success and just one of the many reunions taking place. Others included the first reunion featuring the cast of "Babylon 5," "Petticoat Junction," the various incarnations of "Superman," "Enter the Dragon," "The Goonies," and much, much more.

With a record 4,000 plus fans gathered over the course of the two day event, people were treated to hours with their favorite celebrities.

Perhaps the biggest highlight of the weekend was surprising one of our guests with an impromptu birthday party. The celebrities in attendance, the fans, and the staff of The Hollywood Show were delighted to help usher in Carla Laemmle's 100th birthday with a fabulous cake, a card signed by every celebrity in attendance, and leading the crowd of thousands in song was none other than a legend herself, Debbie Reynolds.

The organizers and staff of The Hollywood Show thank the celebrities and fans who have taken the time to join us at each of our shows this past year and look forward to seeing you all again at our 2010 events!
